Urgentní stavy v ORL

Článek se zaměřuje na urgentní stavy v otorinolaryngologii, které svou povahou mohou mít závažné následky na zdraví pacienta, v krajním
případě jej mohou až ohrozit na životě. Jejich řešení nesnese odkladu. Za takové stavy lze považovat především dušení a krvácení. Dalšími
akutními stavy v otorinolaryngologii jsou zánětlivá onemocnění a jejich komplikace, náhle vzniklá porucha sluchu a poruchy rovnováhy
– akutní vestibulární syndrom. Je popsána symptomatologie těchto stavů, jejich možné příčiny, diagnostika a možnosti jejich léčby.

Urgent conditions in otorhinolaryngology
The article deals with urgent conditions in otorhinolaryngology that, given their nature, may have serious effects on a patient’s health;
in extreme cases, they can even be life-threatening. Their management must not be delayed. These conditions particularly include
choking and bleeding. Other acute conditions in otorhinolaryngology are inflammatory diseases and their complications, a sudden
hearing impairment and balance disorders – acute vestibular syndrome. The symptomatology of these conditions, their possible causes,
diagnosis and treatment options are described.
