Fluoróza je onemocnění způsobené příjmem vysokých dávek fluoridových solí. Autoři se věnují demonstraci a rozboru případu fluorózy u pacientky užívající řadu let vysoké dávky fluoridů. Je podán přehled změn na skeletu s rozvojem osteosklerózy axiálního skeletu s odvápněním kortikální kosti v oblasti předloktí a s rozvojem osteomalacie. Jsou popsány změny v laboratorním spektru s charakteristickým vystupňováním novotvorby a resorpce kosti. Na závěr je uveden klinický popis onemocnění, jsou zdůrazněna rizika léčby fluoridy a podán přehled v praxi užívaných preparátů a jejich použitelnost.
