Porucha funkce hypofýzy jako řídícího orgánu žláz s vnitřní sekrecí vede ve svém důsledku ke změně či porušení funkce ostatních žláz na ní závislých s klinickými projevy odpovídajícími deficitu činnosti dané postiženým orgánem.
