Má vyšetření PSA stále význam při vyhledávání karcinomu prostaty?

Přestože se v ČR dosud neprovádí standardizovaný screening karcinomu prostaty (CaP), je toto onemocnění druhou nejčastější malignitou u mužů nad 50 let. Jednou z možností vyhledávání časných stadií CaP je vyšetření PSA (prostatický specifický antigen). Hodnotu celkového PSA je vhodné hodnotit v kontextu věkově specifického PSA, doplnit využitím poměru FPSA/PSA, tzn. PSA-V eventuálně PSA-DT.
