Lymfedém a jeho léčba

Problematika onemocnění mízního systému v praxi se začala v České republice rozvíjet teprve v posledních desetiletích minulého století, kdy vznikla první lymfocentra a byla založena Lymfologická společnost České lékařské společnosti J. E. Purkyně. Od té doby jsou pravidelně pořádána sympozia a vzdělávací kurzy pro lymfoterapeuty. Primárně se opustily radikální chirurgické přístupy, které byly nahrazeny efektivní komplexní fyzikální léčbou.
