Crystal-induced arthropathies

Crystal-induced arthropathies are common inflammatory diseases of joints. They are characterised by the formation of crystal deposits

in tissues and an inflammatory response of the body to their presence in a joint or in periarticular structures. The review article briefly

deals with their aetiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and therapeutic options.
