Stoma complications

Stoma complications are common, the rate varies widely, ranging from 20–70 %. They may be classified as those that are metabolic and

require pharmacological intervention, skin disorders with necessity of wound care therapy and serious structural pathology where

surgical intervention is essential. The aim of this article is to provide a brief overview of this topic.
