A colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is considered to be the most frequent GIT malignancy and is the second most frequent amongst
all malignant tumors. There is only a breast cancer in woman and a prostate cancer in men more plentiful. There are 8000 newly
diagnosed cases of CRC every year. And 4000 patients dies of CRC yearly. There are plentiful exogenic and endogenic risk factors
rising probability of appearance of CRC. A CRC diagnostics and treatment is a multidisciplinary task. Close co-operation of experts
in many fields is the only way to early diagnostics and proper treatment of CRC. Surgery is considered to be fundamental in strategy
of oncological treatment of CRC. Implementation of „indication boards“ and onco-surgical specialization plays important role in
improving CRC management. The difference in number of early stages diagnosed in other developed countries and advanced stages
diagnosed in the Czech Republic is found the most alarming. Introduction of a screening programs should bring a turning point
in this infamous trend. It is obvious that treatment of early stages of CRC is simpler economical and could lead to total recovery.
