Rizikové faktory osteoporózy

Osteoporóza skeletu je onemocněním masového výskytu, které je považováno za hrozbu zdravotní, ekonomickou i společenskou. Následkem osteoporózy dochází ke zlomeninám, z nich hlavně zlomeniny obratlů a krčku stehenních kosti vedou k nárůstu morbidity a mortality. Velká část pacientů je výrazně postižena a dochází k rozvoji disability, závislosti na pomoci druhých osob a také ztrátě sociálních rolí ve společnosti. Role praktického lékaře v péči o pacienty s osteoporózou je nezastupitelná. Analýzou rizikových faktorů lze účinně identifikovat pacienty ohrožené osteoporózou a zlomeninami.
