Poruchy výživy ve stáří

Poruchy výživy ve stáří jsou významným problémem. Včasnou diagnostikou malnutrice ve stáří se můžeme vyvarovat zhoršení soběstačnosti a kvality života seniorů, umocnění rizika institucionalizace, prodloužení hospitalizace vzestupem procenta komplikací, zvýšení nákladů na léčbu a mortality geriatrických pacientů. Zamýšlíme se nad příčinami a důsledky malnutrice ve stáří a podáváme přehled základních metod používaných při diagnostice poruch výživy, možnostech dietních opatření a typech nutriční podpory se zaměřením na geriatrické pacienty.
