Nejčastější onemocnění štítné žlázy v praxi

Praktický lékař se dostává do kontaktu s nemocným s chorobou štítné žlázy podstatně méně často než specialista, endokrinolog. Následující řádky by měly být určitým návodem, jak takovému nemocnému nejlépe pomoci a co udělat, aby se jeho problém podařilo včas vyřešit. Lékař má v současnosti k dispozici řadu metod, které mu umožňují vyslovit poměrně rychle diagnostický závěr. Záleží především na jeho zkušenosti. Někteří nemocní s chorobami štítné žlázy mohou zůstat v péči praktického lékaře trvale, jindy jen na přechodnou dobu.
