Idiopatické střevní záněty z pohledu praktického lékaře

Idiopatické střevní záněty (ISZ) patří mezi onemocnění s poměrně nízkou incidencí i prevalencí a v ordinacích praktických lékařů představují spíše marginální skupinu. Přesto znalost jejich klinických příznaků a projevů může přispět k časné diagnóze a zabránit vzniku závažných komplikací. Podstatným společným znakem je chronicita, ekonomická náročnost léčby, trvalá potřeba dietních a režimových úprav, které mohou mít vliv na práceschopnost či invaliditu. Obecná znalost uvedených skutečností a dobrá spolupráce s gastroenterologem významně ovlivňuje kvalitu života pacientů.
