Za standardních poměrů teplotních a vlhkostních bývají květnové dny doprovázeny specifickou zvukovou kulisou – motorové kosy, rotační elektrické i palivově motorové, jakož i strunové se zakusují do trávy, bujně se rozrůstající a houstnoucí ve falešném vědomí, že žádné násilí nemůže její rozlet zastavit. No, konečně, zastavit jej opravdu nemůže; co může, je však jeho regulace, jak co do výšky, tak i hustoty porostení.
