Klinické požiadavky na diagnostiku hĹbkovej venóznej trombózy

Venózna tromboembólia je závažný medicínsky, sociálny a ekonomický problém. Krvné zrazeniny sú pri hĺbkovej venóznej trombóze (HVT) a pľúcnej embólii (PE) najväčším neočakávaným „zabijakom“ hospitalizovaných pacientov vo vyspelých krajinách. Testovanie hladiny D-diméru v spojení s klinickým hodnotením je už integrálnou súčasťou diagnostiky na prítomnosť krvnej zrazeniny. Ale vzhľadom k tomu, že väčšina súčasných kvantitatívnych dostupných D-dimér testov sa robí v laboratóriu, je toto testovanie obmedzené na nemocničné kliniky. Analýza súčasnej medicínskej praxe a prístupných testov indikuje, že praktickí lekári v primárnej starostlivosti na pohotovosti a v ambulanciách by uvítali prístup k spoľahlivému, jednoduchému D-dimér testu, čím by zvýšili kvalitu svojej starostlivosti smerom k pacientom, zvýšili by zdravotnú starostlivosť ohľadne diagnostiky a liečby HVT a zlepšili by vyhliadky pacientov.
