Viral hepatitis A and E

Viral hepatitis A and E are relatively common acute liver diseases. In immunosuppressed persons chronic hepatitis E is possible as well.

Vaccine against hepatitis A virus is accessible for a long time, safe, and highly effective. Protection against hepatitis E infection includes

primarily common hygiene procedures, consumption of well-cooked pork and venison.
