Degenerative spinal diseases represent a common problem in routine clinical practice. Degenerative changes can affect all anatomical
structures of the spine but their extent does not correlate with the severity of subjective symptoms, only advanced degenerative changes
leading to compression of adjacent neurological structures are clinically significant. Diagnosis is based on imaging, where standard radiography
is the most used and in indicated case also CT or MRI can be done. Treatment of mild and moderate forms includes appropriate
physical regimen, analgesics or NSAIDs on demands and physiotherapy. Conditions associated with neurological symptomatology must
be solved in collaboration with neurologist and/or spinal surgeon
radiculopathy, facet syndrome, neurogenic claudication.
