Renal insufficiency is a relatively frequent complication or comorbidity in patients with arterial hypertension, particularly in those of
older age groups. To achieve target blood pressure levels is of particular importance in these patients. The treatment should be based
on a renin-angiotensin system blocker usually in combination with another antihypertensive drug. The article presents a case report of
a female patient in whom the use of a fixed combination of perindopril and indapamide resulted in hypertension control, was tolerated
very well, and did not result in impaired renal functions.
