Inflammation as a cause of venous disease

prof. MUDr. Alena Pospíšilová, CSc.
Dermatovenerologické oddělení, Fakultní nemocnice Brno

Chronic venous disease includes the full spectrum of morphological and functional abnormalities of venous system a log-running,

which are manifested either by symptoms and/or signs indicating the need for investigation and/or care. Clinical signs as the cause

and functional changes in relation to the subjective symptoms most accurately defines CEAP classification. In the etiogathogenesis

of chronic venous disease play an important role venous hypertension with reflux, which induce inflamation changes and

their cascade in the part of macrocirculation, in which leads to damage of valve and venous wall, in the part of microcirculation

to the complete destruction of tissues.
