Complications of the diverticular disease – colocutaneous and colovesical fistula

Colonic diverticular disease is common in developed countries, and its prevalence increases with age. Most affected individuals

remain asymptomatic throughout their lives. We herein report a rare case of a spontaneous colocutaneous and colovesical fistula

due to diverticulitis of the sigmoid colon.The condition was successfully treated by resection.
