Klinické výhody suplementace hemovým železem

Zpracováno na základě přednášky doc. MUDr. Jiřího Slívy, Ph.D., MBA - Na 4. kongresu Medicíny pro praxi v Českých Budějovicích konaném v březnu 2025 vysvětlil doc. Slíva ve své přednášce nazvané "21. století: nastal čas pro optimální suplementaci železem", že hemové železo má při suplementaci řadu klinických výhod v porovnání se železem nehemovým. Tato přirozená forma železa pro lidský organismus má vyšší biologickou dostupnost, její vstřebávání je méně ovlivněno současně konzumovanými potravinami a užívanými léky a vykazuje lepší snášenlivost. Všechny tyto výhody lze objasnit fyziologickými mechanismy.
