Superior mesenteric vein trombosis is life-threatening disease due to the risk of mesenteric ischemia. Most common symptoms are abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and melena or hematochesia. Diagnostic difficulties and delay in diagnosis may be caused by unspecific clinical symptoms. We present case study of patient with subacute superior mesenteric vein trombosis with atypical clinical presentation. Chief complaint of our patient was backpain.
