The aim of the palliative hospice care is to reach the highest possible quality of life of seriously ill patients and to keep their human dignity. Terminal sedation is considered to be an optimal way in cases with intractable patients. This therapeutic approach is full of ethics and has nothing in common with euthanasia. Sufficient enlightening to the patient and his/her family is crucial before starting this therapeutic method. Lack of communication can be a tool that causes misunderstanding and conflicts.

Beta-blockers are a heterogenous group of drugs commonly prescribed for the treatment of patients with hypertension, tachyarrhytmias and heart failure. Renal insufficiency is a relatively frequent complication or comorbidity in patients with arterial hypertension, particularly in those of older age groups. To achieve target blood pressure levels is of particular importance in these patients. The treatment should be based on a renin-angiotensin system blocker usually in combination with another antihypertensive drug. The article presents a case report of a female patient in whom the use of a fixed combination of perindopril and indapamide resulted in hypertension control, was tolerated very well, and did not result in impaired renal functions.

Interventional rehabilitation is a modern approach in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders where classical conservative physiotherapy fails. It uses the application of the local anesthetic using special anesthetic technique affecting the neuromuscular system. The big advantage is targeted affecting the peripheral nervous system with minimal influence on vital functions and the possibility of cooperation with the patient during the procedure and during rehabilitation. As an example, there is the case of a young man with post-traumatic lower extremity limitations, where the interventional rehabilitation was used with prompt effect.
